We're Pearl Jam, and we're back. On April 19, we're releasing our 12th studio album, "Dark Matter." The album, produced by Andrew Watt, was recorded in a mere three weeks at Shangri La Studios in Malibu. Our frontman, Eddie Vedder, describes it as our "best work" yet, and we can't wait for you to hear it.

A Return to Our Roots

Pearl Jam fans, get ready for a blast from the past. "Dark Matter" brings back our classic '90s grungy hard rock vibes but with a modern twist. Mike McCready, our guitarist, praised Watt for pushing us creatively and taking us back to our roots. The album features lead guitar work reminiscent of our early years and a focus on impactful drumming.

Our bassist, Jeff Ament, discussed our creative freedom and willingness to explore new ideas for the album. "Dark Matter" is heavier and more melodic than expected, with a raw and energetic sound that we're excited to share with you.

The Art Behind the Album

The album cover art for "Dark Matter" is a unique light painting by Alexandr Gnezdilov. Created with a self-made kaleidoscope, the art captures the essence of the album's title and its otherworldly themes.

On April 20, we're celebrating indie record stores with a special edition of "Dark Matter" for Record Store Day. The exclusive release will feature the album cover art in all its glory, along with a bonus track exclusive to the vinyl edition.

The "Dark Matter" World Tour

Following the release of "Dark Matter," we're hitting the road for a world tour. The tour will span nine countries and 25 cities, starting in Vancouver on May 4 and ending in Sydney on November 21.

We're especially excited to announce three stadium shows in Australia, where we'll be road-testing our new tunes. We premiered the album at a listening party in West Hollywood, and the energy in the room was electric. We can't wait to bring that same energy to our fans around the world.

In May, we'll also be headlining the 2024 BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley. It's our first appearance at the festival, and we're looking forward to sharing the stage with some incredible artists.

As we continue to evolve and push ourselves creatively, we're grateful for the support of our fans. We can't wait to share "Dark Matter" with you and see you on the road.
