This loss is a direct consequence of the ongoing aggression by occupying forces. The halt in production alone accounts for about 1.6 million dollars of the daily losses.

Additionally, the destruction of assets, agricultural properties, and the razing of agricultural areas are expected to escalate these losses significantly.

It is projected that the total agricultural losses in Gaza could surpass 180 million dollars. During the recent aggression, the occupation razed vast agricultural areas and properties and destroyed thousands of trees.

The agricultural sector, a significant component of the Gaza Strip's gross domestic product (GDP), contributed about 11% in 2022. This sector plays a crucial role in providing employment, thereby alleviating unemployment.

According to latest reports, there are 24,754 agricultural holdings in Gaza, accounting for 17.6% of the total agricultural holdings in Palestine.
