Belarus and Russia Strengthen Ties at Innoprom Kazakhstan Industrial Expo
Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko Visits Kazakhstan
Belarus Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko, has embarked on a significant visit to Kazakhstan. The visit entails a meeting with President Kassym Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. The primary purpose of the visit, however, is to attend the international industrial expo, Innoprom Kazakhstan, scheduled to take place in Astana from 25th to 27th September 2023.
Innoprom Kazakhstan: A Platform for Industrial Partnerships
Innoprom Kazakhstan is a crucial event sponsored by the Industry and Trade Ministry of Russia and the Industry and Infrastructure Development Ministry of Kazakhstan. The expo is set to present priority projects from various sectors such as transport aviation, power engineering, machine tools, construction, chemical industry, and metallurgy. The exhibition is expected to cover an area of over 12,000 square meters and will include expositions from leading manufacturing and innovation companies from Russia and Kazakhstan. Additional contributions will be made by national expositions and companies from the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
The Business Program of Innoprom
The business program of Innoprom plays a vital role in the event. This year, it includes a Russian-Kazakh industrial forum featuring specialized sessions on manufacturing sector digitization, international cooperation, and other pertinent topics.
Belarus’s Active Participation in Innoprom
Golovchenko, along with Prime Minister Smailov and Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, visited the Belarusian exposition during a previous Innoprom expo held in Yekaterinburg. Belarus acted as a general partner during that expo, and its manufacturers will again participate in Innoprom Kazakhstan, where a ‘Made in Belarus’ exposition will be arranged.
Objectives of Belarus for the Expo
Belarusian representatives see the Innoprom expo in Kazakhstan as an opportunity to showcase Belarusian technologies and innovations in the manufacturing sector, build new connections, and penetrate new markets. Past participation in the Innoprom expo in Yekaterinburg has confirmed the effectiveness of this business platform in presenting products and technologies, finding new partners, and elevating manufacturing cooperation to a new level.
Prime Ministers’ Addresses at Innoprom
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov delivered their speeches at the main strategic session of INNOPROM 2023. The theme of the 2023 trade fair is ‘Sustainable Production: Update Strategies’. The agenda includes metal processing technologies, digital manufacture, transport engineering, technologies for the energy sector, new materials, industrial IT solutions, medical equipment, technologies for cities, and component manufacturing.
Belarus as an INNOPROM 2023 Partner Country

The Innoprom industrial expo in Kazakhstan is a crucial event that fosters industrial cooperation, attracts investment, expands commercial cooperation, and facilitates the exchange of experiences. By highlighting priority projects and areas, the exhibition presents an excellent opportunity for leading industrial and innovative companies of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus to showcase their innovations.
