Located a mere 20 minutes from Lyon, The Village, a celebrated brand outlet in Villefontaine, is on its way to upscale its offerings, focusing particularly on the luxury segment. The center, led by the Phalsbourg Company, demonstrated a robust performance in 2022, generating a revenue of 170 million euros before taxes and an average yield of 6,500 euros per square meter.
The president of the real estate firm, Philippe Journo, revealed on Fashion Network that while The Village has cemented its position and acknowledged its potential, it is still looking to expand its range with high-end brands, such as Hugo, Michael Kors, or Calvin Klein. By 2030, the outlet also plans to add a hotel, conditional upon the ability to open on Sundays.
Popularity Among Premium and Mid-Range Brands
Since its inauguration in May 2018, The Village has been a hit with premium and mid-range brands, as well as in the outdoor and sports categories.
The outlet expects to welcome over 5 million visitors in 2023, a clear indicator of its growing popularity.
