With a focused theme 'Achieving Net Zero – Pathways to Accelerating Implementation', the forum saw participation from over 400 business leaders and sustainability experts, making it a significant platform for dialogue and skills building in climate action.

Sustainability Workshops - A Practical Pursuit

The event began with practical workshops steered by eminent organizations including Deloitte, KPMG, the Sustainability Group, and CFA Society Bahrain. These workshops were tailored to provide hands-on knowledge for developing strategies and reporting on net-zero initiatives, marking a step forward in the collective journey towards a low-carbon future.

Global Speakers and a Varied Agenda

The main event on January 9, featured a diverse group of over 40 speakers from regions including MENA, Europe, the UK, the US, Australia, Brazil, India, and others. The agenda covered a variety of pressing topics including updates from the COP 28 in Dubai and strategies to accelerate the MENA region's net-zero efforts. Among the speakers were executives from leading companies and institutions like Bapco Energies, Acwa Power, and the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Platform for Climate Action

The Forum's organizer, Ms. Laila Danesh, Managing Director at FinMark Communications, emphasized the importance of the Forum as a platform for dialogue and skills building in climate action. The event was underpinned by partners committed to regional climate action such as Bank ABC, Infracorp, and Standard Chartered Bank. The aim is to facilitate the sharing of insights and innovative solutions, driving the joint endeavor towards a sustainable future.
