2 Indians die in Satkhira road accident

In a tragic road mishap that occurred on a Saturday morning, two Indian nationals lost their lives as a truck rammed into their car in the Taltala region of Sadar upazila, a district within Satkhira. The casualties have been identified as Asim Kumar Biswas, aged 45, and Chobi Biswas, 42, both residents of Siliguri in India's West Bengal state.

Project Involvement of Deceased

According to a police official from the Satkhira Sadar station, the deceased were presumably part of the workforce for the Khulna-Mongla rail line project. They were a married couple who had travelled all the way from India for their work commitments.

The accident took place at eight in the morning, right in front of the BGB headquarters in Sadar upazila. The Indian nationals were travelling in a car that collided with a Khulna-bound truck. Due to the impact, the car was significantly damaged, inflicting injuries upon the two passengers and the driver as well.

The Aftermath

The injured were promptly taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, the two Indian citizens could not survive their injuries and were declared as deceased by the hospital staff. The driver's condition and identity have not been disclosed at this point.
