PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), also known as KAI, has responded to reports of a ransomware attack, assuring the safety of its information technology (IT) systems. This announcement comes after the X Today Cyber News account initially reported the incident, leading to widespread concern over the security of sensitive data belonging to both the company and its customers.

No Evidence of Data Leakage

Joni Martinus, KAI's Vice President of Public Relations, has confirmed that there is no tangible evidence of data leakage related to the alleged attack. The incident is being thoroughly investigated, with the railway company determined to get to the bottom of the situation. Despite the unsettling claims made by a hacker group, which stated that they had accessed sensitive information including employee and customer details, KAI has maintained steadfast assurance regarding the security of its IT operations.
