SAT Governor, Kongsak Yodmanee, has underscored the significance of Muay Thai, a traditional Thai sport that showcases the uniqueness of Thai culture. In a bid to promote Muay Thai globally, SAT has partnered with Workpoint Entertainment and WMC to organize the M-150 Championship. The championship, open to both Thai and international athletes, aims to discover new talent and nurture a new generation of Muay Thai fighters.
Details of the M-150 Championship
The M-150 Championship will consist of 12 matches each for male and female fighters, each match having a weight limit of 57 kilograms. The competition will run from May 2022 to April 2023. Moreover, the championship will be broadcasted live on Workpoint Channel and through other media platforms worldwide, helping to showcase the skills of Muay Thai fighters and promote the sport to an international audience.
World Muay Thai Council and Workpoint Entertainment’s Involvement
Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, President of WMC, expressed his delight at the collaboration. WMC has always backed the development of Muay Thai and has played a crucial role in promoting the sport globally. He believes the M-150 Championship will be a significant step towards this goal.
On the other hand, Panya Nirankul, the CEO of Workpoint Entertainment, stated that the company is prepared to broadcast the M-150 Championship in high definition. They are excited to present the championship to global audiences and contribute to the growth of Muay Thai.
