An Argentinian racer, Franco Colapinto, has made a significant stride in his motorsport career by participating in the Rookie Test at the Abu Dhabi circuit. The promising racer from Pilar completed 65 laps in the Williams F45 Formula 1 car in the morning session, aiming to cover the necessary 300 kilometers to qualify for a superlicense.
Colapinto's performance was impressive as he finished 10th out of 20 participants, clocking a time of 1:26.832. The 20-year-old racer experimented with various Pirelli tire compounds and provided valuable feedback and insights on the FW45 car. He also participated in the first practice session of the International Formula 2, finishing fifth.

The Williams team members praised Colapinto's efforts, noting his trouble-free run and consistent pace. Dave Robson, the head of vehicle performance at Williams, lauded Colapinto for his contributions during the test. This accolade marks Colapinto's debut in Formula 1 during the Rookie Test at the Yas Marina circuit.
