Silicon Valley Tech Investors Form WhatsApp Group to Defend Israel and Target Critics

In the heart of Silicon Valley, a group of pro-Israel tech investors and executives have formed a clandestine WhatsApp group named "J-Ventures Global Kibbutz Group". Their mission? To defend Israel's military actions in Gaza and to target critics of the war. This group, linked to the US-Israeli investment fund J-Ventures, has over 300 members, including tech executives, activists, and at least one senior Israeli government official.

'Hasbara' in Action

The group's activities span from engaging in social media debates to facilitating shipments for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). They also partake in 'hasbara,' a form of Israeli public diplomacy, across different sectors, not just limited to technology. But their actions extend far beyond mere advocacy.

Targeting Pro-Palestinian Voices

These individuals have reportedly orchestrated a 'witch hunt' against pro-Palestinian voices, pressuring institutions and individuals alike. This pressure has led to job dismissals for those who publicly criticize Israel's actions in Gaza. The firing of a Dublin-based employee of the company Wix, following his pro-Palestinian LinkedIn post, serves as a potent example. His post was circulated within the group and used as leverage to have him terminated.

Insider Access

Journalists Jack Poulson and Lee Fang, reporting for Substack, gained access to thousands of messages within the group. The report they compiled highlights the group's influence and the extent to which they've gone to silence critics of Israeli military actions.
