Tragic Wall Collapse in Nalasopara Claims Life, Injures Four Amid Illegal Construction Probe
In a heart-wrenching event in Nalasopara, Mumbai, a compound wall collapse at an illegal construction site led to the untimely death of a 30-year-old labourer and left four others with serious injuries. On a fateful day, five labourers were engaged in erecting a 20-feet-high wall as part of a godown construction, which was not authorized. Tragically, a portion of the wall gave way, burying the workers under the debris. The Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) fire brigade personnel were quick to respond, rescuing the victims and transporting them to a nearby civic hospital. Dashrath Lahade was pronounced dead upon arrival, while his colleagues Shailesh Shingada, Kalpesh Nagole, Bharat Dumada, and Ramu Mage were treated for their injuries.
