Three Man Down's lead singer, Krit-Krittayot Jiraphatthanavong, has publicly apologized for a controversial comment he made during an Instagram Live session and his past and ongoing aggressive behavior towards his bandmates. This apology came after a significant backlash on Twitter, with many users condemning Krit's derogatory comment made in response to a viewer's question about a woman in the background of the live video.
Reflecting on Misconduct
Upon rewatching the contentious clip, Krit recognized the seriousness of his actions and admitted that he could offer no defense for his conduct. "I have no excuse for such crimes," Krit stated, expressing remorse for the impact of his actions on those affected, both currently and in the past. He also extended gratitude to those who drew attention to his mistakes, acknowledging the essential role they played in his path to rectification.
In addition to grappling with the fallout from his actions, Krit is also battling health issues. His record label, GeneLab, announced that he had been diagnosed with severe vocal cord inflammation, necessitating at least three days of voice rest. This condition led to a halt in the band's concerts, with performances postponed until Krit's full recovery.
In a separate incident, Krit was identified as high risk for COVID-19 due to his close contact with a confirmed positive case. He later tested positive for the virus and was advised to undergo home isolation and treatment. The diagnosis led to a further delay in Three Man Down's activities, pending medical confirmation of Krit's recovery from the virus.
