Jim Sheets Appointed as New President for Health Care Operations by Intermountain Health

Jim Sheets, a seasoned healthcare executive with over 16 years of leadership experience at Intermountain, has been appointed as the new president for health care operations in Colorado and Montana by Intermountain Health. Known for his exceptional leadership and commitment to the mission of the organization, Sheets is set to embark on his new role on January 15, reporting to Intermountain's Chief Operating Officer, Nannette Berensen.

Proven Leadership and Dedication

Sheets has a commendable career history, with his most recent position being the group president for 10 CommonSpirit Health hospitals in Colorado and Utah. His exceptional leadership and dedication to healthcare have been lauded by Rob Allen, the president and CEO of Intermountain Health, who praised Sheets for his unwavering dedication to the mission of the organization.

Anticipating a Bright Future

Expressing confidence in Sheet's capabilities, Nannette Berensen affirmed Sheets's ability to lead the caregivers in both states successfully. Sheets, on the other hand, has expressed excitement about his return to Intermountain Health and is committed to aligning the long-standing history of service in Colorado and Montana with Intermountain's mission to transform health care.

A Comprehensive Plan of Action

Sheets's vision for his new role extends beyond the boardroom. He plans to visit each of the eight hospitals in Colorado and Montana within his first 90 days to understand the ground realities and to meet with caregivers in person. A well-rounded leader, Sheets holds an MHA and MBA from the University of Minnesota, a BS in business management from the University of Utah, and has teaching and board experience related to health care.

While he is known for his professional accomplishments, Sheets is also a family man who enjoys mountain sports and adventures with his wife Andrea and their five children.
