Benjamin Asimoni, the coordinator of JPCP, emphasized the importance of encouraging both girls and boys to take a stand against retrograde actions, attitudes, customs, and behaviors that contribute to discrimination and violence against females. He underscored the necessity of a shift in societal attitudes for a more egalitarian society.

Empowering Girls and Nurturing Talents

Asimoni also highlighted the need for young girls to be integrated into the community by taking on communal responsibilities and challenges. He championed the idea that girls should be given opportunities to express their thoughts and explore their talents, thereby promoting their personal and community growth. This integration will not only empower the girls but also contribute to the overall development of society.

In conclusion, the campaign in Beni was an essential step towards combating sexual and gender-based violence. It highlighted the importance of education, empowerment, and societal participation in fostering a world where gender equality is the norm, not the exception. The power of collective action in addressing global challenges was also underscored, presenting a beacon of hope for the future.
