A Mother's Cry for Justice

The incident came to the attention of the authorities when the victim's mother, Chandrakali, lodged a complaint with the police. She alleged that on December 3, four individuals forcibly took her son, tied him up, and subjected him to physical and verbal abuse over suspicions of him having stolen a mobile phone.

In response to the complaint, the police acted promptly, arresting three individuals implicated in the assault. Rajesh Dharikar, one of the accused, was taken into custody immediately. The subsequent interrogation led to the apprehension of two more suspects.

The Hunt for the Fourth Suspect

The authorities have since mobilized three teams to locate and arrest the fourth suspect, who is currently on the run. This individual, a resident of the Banda district with a significant presence in Mirzapur, remains at large, and an intensive manhunt is underway. The incident has sparked a conversation about the enforcement of law and order and the disturbing prevalence of mob justice in the area.
