In a tragic turn of events on the Route 1 highway in Costa Rica, a 42-year-old man lost his life in a traffic accident. The incident took place on the Bernardo Soto freeway towards Alajuela-Grecia, around 8:00 p.m., opposite the Dínamo gas station in the Tacares sector. The victim was declared deceased at the scene by the Costa Rican Red Cross.
Reports suggest that a pick-up type vehicle may have been involved in the hit-and-run. The Traffic Police notified that the accident resulted in long traffic queues in the area. The case has been handed over to the agents of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) of Alajuela for necessary investigations.
